U Not Gonna Like This

Bet you never heard  this story about the 2000 Demonratic National 
Convention:

The official opening of the 2000 Democratic convention included a flag ceremony, with a Posting of the Colors. This ceremony was conducted by an Honor Guard composed of Eagle Scouts from the Boy Scouts of America. Young men, invited by the event organizers, in full uniform, proudly carrying the flag of the United States. They had every right to expect a respectful acknowledgment of the appearance of their country’s flag on the stage, with an appropriate response from the conventioneers.

They had every right to expect that, but that is not what happened. Rather than doffing the sometimes silly headgear often seen at conventions, and having the audience rise to salute this symbol of our nation, the Democratic conventioneers rose to issue a chorus of boos, with accompanying inappropriate hand gestures. Boos, hisses, hastily written inappropriate signs and hateful comments are what greeted these young people. Not by just a few, but by a majority of the attendees in the hall.


To their credit, the Scouts ignored this response, and concluded the ceremony with dignity. Not so the Democrats, who continued their display even after the Scouts left the stage. None of this ever made the mainstream news. While that does not surprise me, it has left me with some questions that I have not been able to satisfactorily answer.

When the multibillion-dollar VAWA was first passed in 1994 under President Bill Clinton, critics pointed out that relatively few women experienced job-related “assaults and violent acts,” a key category used in arguing for federal protection under the commerce act. In fact, only about 2 percent of all assaults and violent acts involved women. Incidents in this category include “violence by persons, self- inflicted injury and assaults by animals.” The figure remains about the same today.

In January, President George W. Bush signed the reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act without public debate, even though evidence has surfaced that Congress should have examined before the law was extended.

The act, which costs nearly $1 billion per year, is one of the major ways former President Bill Clinton bought the support of radical feminists.

Why Republicans passed this bill is a mystery. It's unlikely that the feminists who will spend all that money will ever vote Republican.

Passage of the Violence Against Women Act was a major priority of the American Bar Association for whose members it is a cash cow. More than 300 courts have implemented specialized docket processes to address the cases stemming from the act, more than 1 million women have obtained protection orders from the courts, and more than 660 new state laws pertaining to domestic violence have been passed, all of which produce profitable work for lawyers.


A recently issued ABA document called "Tool for Attorneys" provides lawyers with a list of suggestive questions to encourage their clients to make domestic-violence charges. Knowing that a woman can get a restraining order against the father of her children in an ex parte proceeding without any evidence, and that she will never be punished for lying, domestic-violence accusations have become a major tactic for securing sole child custody.


Voluminous documentation to dispel the feminist myths that created and have perpetuated the act are spelled out in seven reports just issued by an organization called Respecting Accuracy in Domestic Abuse Reporting, or RADAR, and in an 80-page report called "Family Violence in America" published by the American Coalition for Fathers & Children.

For example, it is a shocker to discover that acts don't have to be violent to be punished under the definition of domestic violence. Name-calling, put-downs, shouting, negative looks or gestures, ignoring opinions, or constant criticizing can all be legally labeled domestic violence.


The only web site so far to openly question the constitutionality of the VAWA has been Men's News Daily. Hopefuly I can dig up more information about this piece of legislation and whether if it is indeed unconstitutional...

Battle of the sexes leaves men groping for equality

What started as a desperate measure to protect women from gropers on trains has blossomed into a fully fledged movement. Single-sex places have become a lifestyle choice for many women and a source of outrage for men.

Once women-only carriages became standard on many Japan Railways services and the Tokyo Metro, other businesses quickly followed. Spas and gyms were among the first to pick up the trend, with restaurants, comic-book cafés and convenience stores joining the no-men-allowed movement.

Hotels, apartment blocks and pachinko gambling parlours are experimenting, and restaurants that do not exclude men have taken to giving free desserts to women.

The “women only" trend flies in the face of a massive government effort to put Japanese men and women closer together. Facing tumbling birth rates and a potential demographic crisis, the Government has tried to promote marriage matchmakers and encouraged companies to give staff time off for dating.


“If men want not to be discriminated against, they should have better manners,” Ms Suzuki said. “They sit so they take up lots of space, read newspapers wide open, leaf through pornography in public and some are really arrogant, too.”

Takashi Naito, the male owner of Men-Ya Sora, said: “I wanted to have as many repeat customers as possible and I noticed that female diners often asked me to give them a table away from men who were drunk and noisy.”

Women applaud no-men, pink-striped metro cars

RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil (Reuters) - Women commuters filled female-only, pink-striped subway cars in the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro on Monday on the first day of a scheme to avert groping and other unwanted sexual advances.

A law passed by the state legislature and signed by Rio Gov. Rosinha Matheus last month obliged the underground Metro and above-ground railways to have separate passenger cars for women during the weekday rush hours.

"It's the first day today and we had women applauding when men, who had entered their carriage without knowing about the rule, got off," a spokeswoman for the private Metro Rio company said.

Frequent complaints from women commuters about sexual harassment in crowded railway cars had prompted state legislators to pass the bill.

One car in every of Metro Rio's 33 trains is marked with pink stripes on doors and windows. The company said female passengers would themselves control men's entry into the cars, seeking the help of security guards if necessary.

Railroad company Supervia, which serves Rio and its suburbs, identifies its female-only cars with signs similar to those on women's restrooms.

Men won't be barred from the female-only cars during an initial phase but after that railroad police would enforce the new rule, a Supervia spokesman said.

Rio joins Tokyo and Mexico City as major cities that provide female-only train cars.

Well, after having read the story, it turns out that scientific experimentation with simple ordinary stem cells, male or female, and a little know how, can now easily grow eggs from just any old body, including men. So women and their precious eggs just became as un-special as they've been claiming men have been all the time and now there's a potentially never ending supply of human eggs.

Woman charged in husband's stabbing

BOARDMAN — Police arrested a 21-year-old West Boulevard woman accused of stabbing her husband in the buttocks with a kitchen knife.

Casey Jackson was charged with felonious assault and is scheduled to appear in Mahoning County Court here Tuesday. She was released from the Mahoning County Justice Center on a $12,000 bond.

Police were called to a West Boulevard apartment about 9:30 a.m. Thursday. They found her husband, Joethan Jackson, 21, lying on the living room floor, holding his side, and a puddle of blood on the carpet.

Joethan Jackson told police that he and his wife had gotten into an argument and she smacked his face. He said that he pushed her onto the couch to avoid being hit. She ran into the kitchen, grabbed something and ran back to the living room, he said.

As he was walking away, he felt a poke to the right side of his buttocks, looked back and saw his wife with a knife in her hand, he told police. The man then went into the bedroom to get dressed. He was naked when the assault occurred, a police report said.

LUMBERTON A Silsbee woman was arrested for setting fire to a Lumberton home on Tuesday, July 11, according Hardin County Sheriff Ed Cain.

Linda Faulk, 49, is accused of using a Bic lighter to set fire to a shutter at the residence of her
ex-husband, Ricky Devillier, who lives on Orchid Street in Lumberton.

Faulk had just been released on bond from Orange County on a charge of arson when she allegedly committed the crime in Lumberton. She is also under investigation for arson by law enforcement agencies in mid-Jefferson County.

She was charged with arson of a habitation and released from the Hardin County Jail the same day after posting a $20,000 bond.

UNION TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- A man is dead after a confrontation with his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend in Washington County.

Police said the fight began at a home in Union Township Monday night between Shawn Gildea, of Bethel Park, and his ex-girlfriend 31-year-old Christine Limbers.

Police said Gildea arrived at the home of Berry James on McChain Court Road in Union Township around 11 p.m. – a home that Limbers now shares with her current
boyfriend, James.

A verbal confrontation escalated and Gildea pushed a window air conditioner into the
home to gain entry, police said.

Vladimir Bukovksy, the 63-year old former Soviet dissident, fears that the European Union is on its way to becoming another Soviet Union. In a speech he delivered in Brussels last week Mr Bukovsky called the EU a “monster” that must be destroyed, the sooner the better, before it develops into a fullfledged totalitarian state.

Mr Bukovsky paid a visit to the European Parliament on Thursday at the invitation of Fidesz, the Hungarian Civic Forum. Fidesz, a member of the European Christian Democrat group, had invited the former Soviet dissident over from England, where he lives, on the occasion of this year’s 50th anniversary of the 1956 Hungarian Uprising. After his morning meeting with the Hungarians, Mr Bukovsky gave an afternoon speech in a Polish restaurant in the Trier straat, opposite the European Parliament, where he spoke at the invitation of the United Kingdom Independence Party, of which he is a patron.

Coast woman charged with dumping hot oil on husband faces murder charge

BAY ST. LOUIS, Miss. - A Hancock County woman who allegedly dumped a pot of heated cooking oil on her sleeping husband last month is now facing murder charges.

Investigators said Edna May Sanders, 45, whose maiden name is Miller, fled the couple's home with their two children after allegedly dumping a pot of hot grease on her husband, leaving him with third-degree burns on more than half of his body.

Sherman Sanders spent a week in the burn center at the University of South Alabama in Mobile. After his death Friday, county investigators intensified the search for his wife.

Authorities said the two were married only a short time.

"She has family in Texas and Louisiana and that's where we are concentrating all our efforts right now," said Kenny Hurt, the county's chief investigator.

Police believe Edna Sanders heated about two quarts of household cooking oil on the stove and allowed the grease to reach a simmer while her husband slipped into a sound sleep. Then, she poured the smoldering grease over his head, face, chest and arms.

"I've been in law enforcement 14 years and that was the worse thing I've ever seen," Hancock County Sheriff's Department investigator Ricky Fayard said after the July 28 attack. "His skin was dripping off of him."

"When we got there he was in bad shape. His entire hand, the skin came off, and it looked like a glove," Fayard said.

For too many years, the Democratic Party has taken the black vote for granted. They have kept African-Americans in the fold by championing affirmative action and government programs which are supposed to be helping blacks achieve economic parity. However, they ignored the fact that a number of African-Americans might care more about the Bible than about welfare benefits…more about preserving the sanctity of marriage than about protecting the planet from big business.

For decades, the black family has been under attack from incompetent public officials who attempted to make blacks beholden to the federal government through government subsidies and positions on the public payroll. After all, if you delivered the promise of a job during a campaign, you naturally have an easier time winning the job-seeker’s vote at election time. But all those government giveaways and public jobs add up, resulting in bloated budgets, sky-high deficits, and extreme taxation. And many blacks are coming to realize that Uncle Sam is giving with one hand and taking away with the other, causing them to teeter on the brink of poverty.

What’s more, the federal government’s abortion policy has decimated the African-American population. While blacks make up only about 12 percent of the population, they account for more than 40 percent of abortions.

Isn’t it ironic that Democrats would push to abort future taxpayers who might also be future Democrats?

Also, news stories about it - and all the major daily papers here in Australia ran a page about it - have even begun disappearing from Google News. It's almost as if they've taken those pages down.
